*VINTAGE INTIME DOUBLE NYLON LACE PEIGNOIR & NIGHTGOWN SET IN RASPBERRY RIPPLE

A gorgeous color in this vintage Intime double nylon lacey peignoir & nightgown set in a deep, deep rich raspberry shade called Raspberry Ripple

The jewel-tone shades are very difficult to find - the pastel sets are more common & a bit easier to find but even now, they are not in abundance but the deep jewel-tone colors are virtually impossible to find nowadays - you know the exquisite quality of intime with its wonderful workmanship & detailing that people have loved the world over

The peignoir & nightgown are adorned in exquisite ecru lace which makes for a beautiful color combination & contrast with the raspberry shade - there is scalloped rose lace around the neckline of the peignoir & sleeves which makes it very elegant & it is adorned with satin raspberry “rosebud” & satin ribbon at the neck for closure -the peignoir has 2 layers of nylon - the sheer nylon over the slinky nylon below - double nylon feminine puffy baby doll with satin cording & ruffled ecru lace trim making it very feminine - a lovely lace scalloped lace hem finishes the peignoir

The double nylon matching nightgown is equally beautiful with a lace-trimmed neckline trimmed with raspberry satin cording which form the straps as well - there is a layer of sheer nylon over slinky nylon - the sheer nylon is split from the bodice down so it floats freely over the 2nd layer of nylon - it is trimmed on both sides with scalloped ecru lace

There are 3 raspberry satin love knots decorating the front of the lace strips - there is more lace around the back scoop neckline in back with gathers traveling down from the neck for a full sweep look - the hem has more scalloped lace which matches the peignoir for a very feminine romantic look - the lace is very soft & not scratchy

I wear a size 8-10 & it fit me so it will fit a size Medium and/or Large as well but please go by the measurements

Bust 42 - 45 stretched tight but do not stretch to the max as it will not hang properly
Armholes 20 & can be made larger by slitting open the side seam under the arm & re-sewing

Condition - on the peignoir, there are a few small pinhead holes & some picks which will not be noticed unless holding the sheer nylon up to the light.  On the gown, there are a few imperfections on the lower back of the gown close to the bottom & I have included 2 photos of it - 1 photos shows the sheer nylon & the 2nd photo shows the same spot with the lining underneath it as it would look normally, there are some slits with a triple pinhead hole, these could be pulled together & when the sheer nylon is over the slinky nylon, no one would ever see them as they are closer to the lace hem & side seam, a few pinhead holes near the hem & some picks but they are not noticeable unless holding the sheer layer of nylon up to the light & no one would see them - the price has been adjusted considerably for these small imperfections
Care - tag says machine wash & dry & cool iron but i would definitely hand wash drip dry & do not put in the washer or dryer as they ruin vintage double nylon sets & definitely do not use an iron on these vintage sets - I use a steamer but an iron would ruin them

Care Instructions

We examine each item carefully and note any imperfections, but unless an item is said to be new, please don't expect it to be perfect & even some new items have small imperfections. I will always state in the description if there are any imperfections & I never do repairs but leave them to others who are better able to do them than me as that is not my expertise.

Please remember that unless specified all items have been used and will show varying signs of use or wear. We always list the obvious imperfections to the best of our abilities. However, some slight imperfections that will not show or affect wearing or using the item may slip by or not be considered worth mentioning.

Vintage nightgowns & peignoirs may be delicate so I do not wash them in the machine. I wash them in lukewarm water with Woolite or some other mild soap, then rinse & hang dripping wet in the shower.

The items are sold as we find them.  We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and should be cleaned or washed upon arrival.  Please make your selection carefully & check the measurements.

Since these are vintage items, a bit of extra care needs to be taken with them so they remain beautiful & I definitely would never put a vintage nightgown or a peignoir in the dryer as it would ruin it.
